Mitch certainly fits the weak conscience, lack of remorse and empathy elements of sociopathy. Coincidentally, the prime evidence of his weak conscience was his duplicitous treatment of the other half of the dichotomy portrayed in this piece. If the Senate had real Majority Leader back in 2016, Merrick Garland would on the Supreme Court and Amy Coney Barrett wouldn’t.
